SpaceComputer Raises Pre-Seed to Build Cypherpunk Systems for Space Frontier

We are thrilled to announce the closing of our pre-seed funding, with a round led by Primitive Ventures and with participation from Nascent, Tangent Ventures, Symbolic Capital, Public Works, Merkle Ventures, and Starshield. We’re also grateful for the support of angels including Loi Luu, Sandeep Nailwal and Meltem Demirors

Founded by Daniel Exponent, Matej Yangwao, and Filip Rezabek, SpaceComputer is building cypherpunk crypto systems for the space frontier, leveraging satellite infrastructure to deliver a robust and secure blockchain environment resistant to traditional cyberattacks and physical tampering. Recently, we launched our first product—ctRNG—which harnesses space entropy, such as cosmic flares, to achieve true random number generation.

We are fortunate to be joined by advisors Dahlia Malkhi, Yonatan Winetraub, and Yan Michalevsky. Dahlia is a professor at UC Santa Barbara and a distinguished scientist at ChainLink. Yonatan, a specialist in aerospace technology, is a founder of Aptos Orbital, researcher at Stanford University, and previously led the world’s first private mission to the moon in 2019. Yan, the founder of Cryptosat, co-founder of Anjuna Security, and also a co-founder of Aptos Orbital, holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and focuses on cybersecurity for orbital systems.

For a deeper dive into our ambitious plans and architecture, we encourage you to review our Blue Paper. A simplified version of the paper can be read here on our blog.

With the closing of our pre-seed round, we’re excited to begin expanding community participation in our project. If you’re interested in becoming an early member of SpaceComputer, we invite you to join our official public Telegram chat.
